Here’s a super simple recipe for making non-toxic hand soap from easy-to-obtain products. Links are below the video.

Gather Your Supplies

To make your own soap, you need just a few items.

• Foaming hand soap pump
• Canning jar
• Dr. Bronner’s Castile soap in your favorite scent
• Water

I used a canning jar that I had on hand. If you don’t have a stash, look for jars at your local resale shops or garage sales. And be sure to make a note of whether it is a regular mouth or wide mouth jar. You can purchase foaming hand soap pump dispensers for either size. You’ll just want to buy the right ones so they match.

Here’s an Amazon link to help you find the foaming hand soap dispenser lids. They come in a variety of colors and finishes so you can get them to match your bathroom or kitchen.

Next you’ll want to grab some Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap in your preferred scent. I love peppermint, citrus, and lavender and have big bottles of each of them in my home. Or if you have a favorite essential oil scent, you can use unscented castile soap and add 25 drops of essential oil to the jar.
